CHAMELEON DESIGNS - ROTHERHITHE

A relatively new build property with high ceilings, good light and some elegant features based overlooking the river Thames. The clients asked me to look at the hallway, which was dark and uninviting, and the combined living dining rooms, which lacked a personality, were cold and didn’t work together as  cohesive rooms. The hallway was given a lighter, fresher colour, new carpet and lighting and the clients existing artwork to give a new more inviting and welcoming feel.
In the living/dining room, the clients asked us to work with the existing sofa and chairs and dining table and sideboard. The boats were of family sentimental value and these would need to be combined into the new scheme. Firstly the wall between the two rooms was enlarged giving a better flow between the two spaces and making it feel more like one room. The furniture placement was reconfigured and a new feature wall was created with electric fire, TV and Audiovisual system. Depth and character was added with the use of a large-scale wallpaper, warmer paint tones on the other walls and co-ordinating colour in the use of new curtains, rugs, lighting and accessories. New radiators were also added.
